Unique and Creative Group Costumes
Missing the robust NYC and London theater scenes, Matt and I decided to treat ourselves and Daniel to the one play we had been wanting to see for years, The Book of Mormon. After a bit of research, we finally found relatively reasonably priced The Book Of Mormon tickets on StubHub and decided to go for it and am I glad we did. Not only did I love the characters of Elder Price and the rest of the gang but I must admit, while watching the fabulous staged “Mormon Spooky Hell Dream” number I was inspired — I couldn’t wait to get home to try to pull together a Book of Mormon inspired group costume.

How to pull together Mormon Spooky Hell Dream Group Halloween Costumes
Here’s what we came up with: one or more group members must dress as a 19 year old Mormon missionary better known as an elder. This costume is simple and easy to pull together at the last minute: a white dress shirt, black pants, a skinny black tie, black dress shoes, and a small book covered with a book cover that reads The Book of Mormon. About half the group members should wear Skeleton Costumes with Top Hats and oversize Pitchforks and at least one person must don an Underworld Ringmaster Devil Costume. Additionally, someone in the group should definitely consider wearing a Jesus costume
. Throw in African Queen
and African King characters and you will definitely capture the essence of the play. Warning: do not even attempt to pull off this edgy look if you do not thoroughly appreciate and understand South Park humor.
Dare to be Great!
